My husband has been coming to Friends Place for about a year. Our doctors and friends told us what a wonderful place and program it was. They stressed, that going there really helped with the cognitive abilities and slowed the decline. I was skeptical at first, but I can see a difference in my husband on the days that he is at Friends Place. He is more cognizant and talkative when he leaves there. He loves the friendly people, keeping busy and the friendships he has made there in the past year. When our Doctors ask if he is going to a program and I tell them he is at Friends Place their faces actually light up and they tell us that program is REALLY good.
